Bio
Dr. Branstetter is a graduate of Norton Memorial Infirmary School of Nursing with a diploma in nursing. She continued her education at Western Kentucky University completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1994 and a Master of Science in Nursing in 1997. In 2011, she earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky. Her practice has been in primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the rural setting. She volunteers with the Children of the Americas, a medical-surgical mission to the indigenous people of Guatemala. She is a member of the ANA, KNA, KCNPNM, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Transcultural Nursing Society. Her research interests are cardiovascular disease prevention and women’s health in developing countries.
