Rosemary Meszaros joined the Department of Library Public Services in 1998. She received her M.L.S. from Louisiana State University and her M.A. from California State University. She is Professor and Coordinator of Government Information Services and Law. She is the Federal Depository Librarian for the Second Congressional District. Rosemary also is library liaison to the Political Science, Psychology, Military Science, Federal and Kentucky Documents and Law collections.
Rosemary has authored Rising Through the Ranks: Women in War as well as a number of articles and book and media reviews. She has contributed chapters on government periodicals for the last four editions in the reference book Magazines for Libraries. She has also served on the editorial board of the Journal of Academic Librarianship for the past ten years. Rosemary has written a chapter on Scholarly Communication in The Internet, Scholarly Communication and Collaborative Research: Tools and Trends Converging.
Rosemary is active on committees of several professional associations: American Library Association, Kentucky Library Association, Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) and Kentucky GODORT. She has presented papers in Toronto (ALA), various cities in Kentucky (KLA), and Nashville (ACRL), as well as Bowling Green. In 2006 she was named Kentucky Academic Librarian of the Year. Since 1989 she has recorded textbooks for blind students at both Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic and Kentucky Department for the Blind.
