SJ&B will be hosting its annual Journalism Scholars Day with breakout sessions taking place at 9:15, 10:15 and 11:15, in MMTH and Gary Ransdell Hall. The conference is an opportunity to educate high school students who are interested in journalism and broadcasting as well as to give them an inside look into the SJ&B. The attending 270 students are involved in newspaper, yearbook, radio and television in high schools all around Kentucky. 

An info fair on SJ&B and related student opportunities will take place from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. in the MMTH auditorium lobby.

The 2016 Mark of Excellence Yearbook Winners and the James L. Highland Adviser of the Year Award will also be announced.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning Politifact team of Amy Hollyfield and Kate Sanders will be on campus for a post-election breakdown of the biggest lies of the political season. The lecture will be Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. CST.
