Banner is a mission-critical Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system used by every office at WKU. The Banner student module houses academic and administrative records for all students including student applications, courses, degree programs, grades, transcripts, financial aid, billing accounts, and over 20 years of academic history. The Banner Human Resources module houses key employee demographic data, position inventory and history, professional credentials, and benefits information. The Banner finance module includes general ledger, purchasing, grants accounting, asset inventory, accounts payable, and budgeting. Related modules include integrated document imaging, degree audit, and enterprise portal.
Banner 9 Information
Banner 9 is the next generation of Banner. The IT Division's Enterprise Applications and Programming team is working hard to bring this upgrade to you in Spring/Summer 2017. For more information please visit our Banner 9 Information page.
Windows computer requirements are: Windows 7 or 10 and Internet Explorer 11 (only).
Mac computer requirements are: Mac OS X 10.10, 10.11 or 11 and the Safari browser (only).
The only browsers that will work with Banner after December 31, 2016 will be Internet Explorer 11 and Safari. Once we go to the newest version of Banner: "9" in 2017, the ability to use other browsers will return.
Banner accounts are only created for individuals that need Banner for their position and after they have attended a training session. Please see our Banner Accounts page for more information about Banner accounts.
