As the Senior International Student and Scholar Adviser, George’s role as an immigration advisor for international students and their dependents is to guide them toward comprehensive understanding of immigration regulations. He oversees and collaborates with the Sponsord Student Advisor. He is instrumental in the implementaion and organization of the international student organizations across campus. George assists with and offers guidance through the employment application processes for international students and their dependants along with support in adjusting to life in Bowling Green, KY.
George earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Columbia College in Columbia MO in 1988. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Education with emphasis College Student Personnel Services from Western Illinois University in 1990. He has been working in higher education and international education since 1990. His previous experience includes international education including study-abroad advising, general student services and programming, immigration advising, cultural adjustment advising, overseas recruiting of international students, transcript evaluation and admissions of international students.
