Sabine Chai, Ph.D.
Foundations of communication and culture, intercultural communication
Intercultural negotiation and conflict, intercultural transitions and adaptations processes, quantitative research methods
Sabine Chai earned her doctorate in communication from the University of Maryland/College Park in 2013. Before her time in Maryland, she collected an M.A. in communication from San Diego State University as well as a Masters of Theology and a B.A. in Chinese studies from the University of Vienna/Austria. Sabine's interest in intercultural communication first arose from her experience with inter-religious dialogue with Islam in Vienna. She has gathered intercultural experience around the world since then. Sabine lives with her husband and two children in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and enjoys teaching intercultural communication online.
