Prepare for an Exciting Career!
Computer Information Technology (CIT) is an exciting field of
work and study that includes many diverse, technical areas such as
Web design and programming, database administration, and computer
network administration and security. A career in CIT can be
challenging and rewarding. Constant changes in technology require
CIT professionals to be life-time learners. The CIT program at
Western Kentucky University prepares students to enter the
profession with a solid foundation on which they can build a
successful career.

An Online
Education: |
 |
The CIT program is
delivered online; in other words, you do not attend classes at a
physical location. Class material is delivered via the Internet
which allows students to complete course work from their home, keep
a job and spend more time with their family.
Classes are taught in 8-week
modules to afford students intensive exposure to the various
technologies that we teach. CIT courses use a variety of
different learning technologies to provide students with a rich
educational experience.
Learning in this manner can be quite different from that of a
traditional classroom! CIT students have to be self-starters
and good managers of their time. This program is ideal for working
adults.
