Mary R. Nixon Professorship in Accounting
Established January 4, 1999
The Mary R. Nixon Professorship in Accounting supports a professor within the Department
of Accounting of the Gordon Ford College of Business. The Professorship is primarily a teaching professorship rather than a research professorship. The fund has helped to enhance the reputation of the Accounting Program and attract
students to Western Kentucky University. The Accounting program continues to be one
of the largest in the commonwealth with graduates being highly recruited on a regional,
national and international level.
