Research
Dr Weidner recently left the University of Kentucky to teach here at WKU. While he was there, he spent his time researching Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and its potential link with prions and Type II diabetes. He is particularly proud of his work on membrane interactions of the small peptide A-beta as it relates to AD (PMID: 21504780). He hopes to continue this work once he settles into the WKU atmosphere.
