Bio
Stacy Wilson always had an interest in math and science. Introduced to engineering at a young age by her father, she played to her academic strengths. Pursuing undergraduate studies at Tennessee Technical University, she concentrated on electrical engineering. While going through the interviewing process as she prepared to graduate, Wilson instead decided to continue with her studies. Throughout her graduate and doctoral work, she had the opportunity to teach recitation and lab courses. The level of interaction, exchange and feedback reinforced Wilson’s conviction that teaching would be an integral part of her career. In addition to teaching she actively works with students, colleagues, and outside agencies on a variety of projects, and cheers on her beloved Nashville Predators during hockey season.
