Study Abroad Trip to China
May 26, 2015
Ms. Laura Huff
Office: FS 208
Originally from Monroe County, Kentucky, Laura graduated from WKU with a Bachelor of Arts in English. During her college years, she became interested in Japanese culture and language. Laura has studied Japanese for almost six years and recently was accepted to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's graduate program for Japanese translation. Fortunately, her program is all online, so she can spend another great year at Gatton Academy as a Residential Counselor. This will be her 4th year as an RC, and she continues to enjoy her job immensely.
Laura's other duties at Gatton Academy include yearbook adviser and club adviser for the NiKAMI, creative writing, and film clubs. She also works with WKU Study Abroad, co-leading faculty-lead trips to Japan. Additionally, Laura serves as a co-adviser for the WKU Japanese Culture Club. When Laura is not working, she can found nose-deep in a book, laughing at a Japanese TV drama, knitting a Doctor Who scarf, or enjoying some tea.
