  • The contest is open to WKU students, faculty, and staff who are either employed or enrolled as degree-seeking students at the time each drawing is conducted.
  • Individuals who were vaccinated prior to the start of the contest are still eligible to win.
  • To be entered into the contest, individuals must complete the Vaccine Status Reporting Form located at https://app.wku.edu/vaccine/before the final contest drawing is completed.Individuals only need to submit information and contest consent one time.
  • Employees who are members of the Council of Academic Deans, President’s Cabinet, or the WKU COVID-19 Task Force, and those who are assisting with management of the contest are not eligible to win.
  • Winners will be contacted and required to provide vaccine status verification to staff in WKU’s Department of Environmental Health & Safety.Those who do not provide verification within 72 hours of being contacted will forfeit their prize.
  • Selected winners can still be awarded a prize even if a two-dose vaccine regimen is not complete so long as (1) the first vaccine dose is confirmed and (2) the number of days between the date of verification and the date of the first dose does not exceed the CDC’s recommended interval between doses. (i.e. individuals who skipped the second dose of a two shot regimen are not eligible.)
  • Prize drawings will begin the week of August 30, 2021 and will most often be conducted on Fridays until October 1, 2021.
  • The five tuition scholarships are eqivilent in value to one semester of  undergraduate, in-state, full-time  tuition and are valued at $5,496 each. Students must be enrolled full time for the fall 2021 semester to be eligible to win the scholarship. Graduate students are eligible to win.  
  • Students who win one of the undergraduate tuition scholarships, bookstore scholarships, or parking permits who have already paid those charges for the fall 2021 semester will have the amount credited to their student account for future use.Any prize balance credited to the student’s account will be available for use until September 30, 2022.  Refunds or residual checks will not be issued for prizes.
  • $1,000 prizes for employees will be subject to applicable federal and state taxes.
  • Entries will be categorized by status (i.e. employee or student) and, upon request by contest managers, Information Technology Services (ITS) will use a random number generation tool to identify winners.In the event that a selected individual is determined to be ineligible or has previously won a prize through this contest, the prizes will be redrawn later in the contest.  Students who have won a smaller prize areeligible to receive one of the five full, in-state tuition scholarships.
