Reported Cases

Western Kentucky University maintains this page to inform the campus and community about the number of COVID-19 cases among students, faculty and staff on the main campus in Bowling Green. Cases reported to WKU by the Barren River District Health Department and confirmed as members of the WKU community are included on this page.  Members of the campus community who receive a positive test result from a testing agency outside the Barren River District Health Department should contact WKU's COVID-19 Response Team at 270-745-2019 to report the positive test result. Cases self-reported to WKU will also be included in the counts on this page. In instances where positive results are not provided to WKU by the local health department or the affected student/employee, the University will not be able to provide that information on this site.

Confidentiality laws prohibit the University from disclosing identifying information about affected individuals. Any individual who has tested positive will be quarantined and anyone believed to be at risk, as determined by the Health Department’s contact tracers, will be contacted and asked to self-quarantine.  For more information about WKU's tracing and quarantine procedures, visit https://www.wku.edu/healthyonthehill/healthandsafety/testing-and-tracing.php.
