The WKU campus and the surrounding community are invited to participate in the WKU Blood Drive benefiting the American Red Cross in October 2025.
Appointments are encouraged, but not required.
There are many appointments available for the blood drive on October 20-22, 2025 from 12:00pm - 6:00pm. While we encourage making an appointment, you can still walk in to donate. To make an appointment, visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter sponsor code WKU. or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
Streamline your donation experience and save up to 15 minutes by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass to complete your pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire on the day of your appointment.
All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card, a driver’s license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
Incentive Offer – All presenting donors will receive a commemorative t-shirt while supplies last.
100 Miles of Hope Student Spirit Challenge
October 20–22 | 12:00–6:00 PM | Preston Center
The WKU Blood Drive Planning Committee invites student organizations to show their Hilltopper spirit and help save lives by participating in the 100 Miles of Hope Student Spirit Challenge during our 100 Miles of Hope Blood Drive!
Here’s how it works:
- Donate blood at the Preston Center anytime between October 20–22, from 12:00–6:00 PM.
- At check-in, donors must list the student organization they desire to be counted toward the challenge.
- The student group with the most donors will win a WKU prize pack!
- Students can recruit students outside their organization to donate; They must list the organization name at check-in.
- Smaller student organizations can collaborate under one team name.
- The prize pack is available for up to 30 members of the student group.
Prize Pack:
- (Maximum 30) Prize packs with WKU and Red Cross goodies.
- Field pass tickets to the WKU Football game on November 15, 2025 (Maximum 30)
- Participation in the fan tunnel during the game!

The 100 Miles of Hope WKU Blood Drive is seeking volunteers to help with donor check-in and distribution of information and giveaways. Volunteer Shifts

Three volunteers are needed for each shift, each day. A volunteer can sign up for more than one day. For each shift, please arrive 10 minutes early to review instructions.
Parking for community members donating will be at the South Lawn Lot. There will be 10 spaces reserved each day.
