For fall 2013 there will be 9 podiatry schools in the United States.  Total applicants in 2013 totaled 988 for 671 spots or about 1.5 applicants per opening.  Historically, acceptance rates to podiatry schools has been between 60 and 85%  During that same year approximately 97% of applicants held a bachelor's degree or higher.
