Meetings

WIB holds three club meetings per semester. Speakers and topics vary in order to provide our members with a wide range of opportunities suited to different classifications and majors.

WIB also occasionally hosts or co-hosts meetings open to all students in the Gordon Ford College of Business and beyond, which are announced via our social media.

Examples of past events and opportunities:

• Hosting businesswomen from the community at a speed networking event 
• Question and answer sessions with professors and businesswomen discussing challenges they have faced and hearing their advice
• Sponsoring a female speaker on diversity and implicit bias
• Resume and LinkedIn workshops for students preparing to enter the workforce 
• Providing coffee and donuts to students and professors
• Women in Entrepreneurship
• Hearing from hiring managers and talent specialists 
• Writing notes of encouragement to students and professors
