Mission and Objectives
The primary mission of the Talley Family Counseling Center (TFCC) is to facilitate the development of highly effective counselors and provide free counseling services to members of the WKU and surrounding communities under the supervision of Counseling and Student Affairs faculty.
The TFCC mission and clinic experiences are designed to support WKU’s mission, which “prepares students of all backgrounds to be productive, engaged, and socially responsible citizen-leaders of a global society. The University provides research, service and lifelong learning opportunities for its students, faculty, and other constituents. WKU enriches the quality of life for those within its reach.”
The TFCC Objectives include:
- Provide the community with professional counseling services at no cost to families and individuals in need;
- Provide a learning environment for advanced graduate students in the Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Counseling programs in the Department of Counseling and Student Affairs at Western Kentucky University.
