About the Study Abroad Student Representatives Program

Study Abroad Student Representatives are a group of WKU study abroad alumni who are dedicated to promoting international learning opportunities available both on campus and abroad.

Currently there are two tracks for student volunteers: the Advising and Outreach Track and the Exchange Student Mentors.

  • Plan and work at study abroad events on campus and in the community
  • Serve as peer advisors in the SAGL office to help students find and prepare for study abroad programs
  • Assist with pre-departure and student abroad information tables and sessions

Exchange Student Mentors

  • Serve as peer advisors and mentors for students interested in participating in WKU exchange programs
  • Work with incoming exchange students and serve as a resource for them during their stay at WKU
  • Plan monthly activities for incoming exchange students
  • Plan and implement programs on campus and in the community to promote exchanges
