    [Section_Value1] => <p>John Baker is an Assistant Professor in Organizational Leadership, an academic unit in the School of Professional Studies, University College. Prior to joining WKU in 2006, Dr. Baker had a career in the US Army where he spent over 26 years on active duty serving throughout the United States and overseas.&nbsp; His assignments included various command and staff positions, Instructor at the United States Military Academy in the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering, and Professor of Military Science and Leadership at both Drexel University and Western Kentucky.&nbsp; Dr. Baker earned a BS degree from West Point in 1980, a MS degree in Physical Geography from the University of Wisconsin in 1990, a MS degree in Engineering Management from Drexel University in 2000, and a Doctorate in Education from WKU in 2011.&nbsp; Dr. Baker's research interests focus on peer and military leadership.&nbsp;</p>

    [Section_Value2] => <p>Cort's background includes work on critical thinking, the American South, food studies, the end of the world, college athletics, and the history of Christianity. His Master's thesis in History (2012) is entitled "Hal Lindsey and the Appeal of Popular Premillennialism in the 1970s." His thesis has been accessed over 10,000 times and it was the most downloaded thesis housed on WKU TopSCHOLAR in 2015. Based on the reach of his work, he was inducted into the WKU Libraries Open Access Hall of Fame in the fall of 2016.</p>
<p>He has also presented at local, regional, national, and international conferences on using food as content for critical thinking in first year courses.</p>

    [Section_Value3] => <p>Born and raised in Hudson, Kentucky (Breckinridge County),&nbsp;Cort is a lifelong Kentuckian and was a first-generation college student. He graduated from WKU in 1999 (Psychology and History) and completed master's degrees from WKU in 2001 (Education) and 2012 (History). He has served as a full-time faculty member at WKU since Fall 2001. In addition to teaching, he enjoys running marathons, reading, writing, cooking, college basketball, and spending time with his wife and two children.</p>

He has ten years experience as an electronic engineer working with medical instrumentation design , compliance testing, and clean-room manufacturing. He has managed " maquiladora' facilities in Tijuana Mexico and has consulted for firms seeking to move their operation offshore.</p>

    [Section_Value1] => <p>Peter holds a BIS-Health emphasis degree from WKU, and is continuing his studies on the Hill in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master's degree program. As a graduate assistant in the BIS program, he serves as the advisor of record for a number of BIS majors which allows him to apply the counseling skills he is learning in his graduate course work. Peter believes physical activity, stress management, emotional support, healthy diet, and campus involvement are crucial components to student success in college. In his free time, Peter enjoys running, yoga, hiking, rock climbing, meditation, and working on community environmental sustainability.</p>

    [Section_Value3] => <p>Kristie Guffey is an Assistant Professor in Organizational Leadership, an academic unit in the School of Professional Studies, University College. Prior to joining WKU in 2016, Dr. Guffey had a career as a director of the Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center, a division of the Kentucky Department of Education, Career and Technical Education for three years. Guffey earned a BS degree in agriculture education from WKU, and taught agriculture education and was an FFA advisor at Carlisle County High School. &nbsp;In 2006, she earned her MS degree in Agriculture Education from Murray State University, and a Doctorate in Education from WKU in 2012.&nbsp; Dr. Guffey's research interests focus' on global mindedness, personality assessments, and cultural intelligence. &nbsp;Guffey has been an advocate of study abroad and global learning for many years. &nbsp;She has lead over 17 study abroad trips to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands through WKU.&nbsp;</p>

He likes to involve his students in projects that benefit the community. One such project is his Web Page Design project, in which students work with local businesses and non-profits to create websites that promote and advertise businesses or non-profits to the community.&nbsp;</p>

He has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses. He has taught courses internationally including courses in Greece, Iran, Iraq, UAE, and USA. George has extensively used mainframes and personal computers in his teaching. He started teaching online classes in the 1990s, has continued teaching online, and does not plan to stop teaching online. Besides teaching, George&rsquo;s interests include domestic and world travel. He has traveled throughout the United States and has also traveled in Europe, the Middle East, Mexico, Central America, and Southeast Asia. Finally, he is very active in ballroom dancing and international folk dancing.&nbsp;</p>

    [Section_Value3] => <p>Sara arrived at WKU as a freshman in 1995.&nbsp; After earning a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in History, she began working in the University Library&rsquo;s Department of Special Collections as an Archival Assistant.&nbsp; During the next six years, Sara completed graduate degrees in History from WKU and Library and Information Science from Florida State University.&nbsp; In August 2005, Sara began working with the University Experience program as an Instructor and Library Skills Coordinator.&nbsp; In July 2011, Sara became the University Experience Coordinator.&nbsp; She is married to James and they enjoy traveling.&nbsp; Some of their favorite destinations are Walt Disney World, Disneyland, San Diego, New York City, Hawaii, and Portland, OR.&nbsp;</p>
