School of Professional Studies


WKU’s School of Professional Studies (SPS) is home to academic programs that focus on the needs of career-focused and non-traditional learners. SPS courses and majors are designed to meet the needs of a diverse student population. We offer on-campus, on-line, on-demand, regional campus, and cohort programs.

Academic areas in the School of Professional Studies include:

The Associate Degree in Business Studies is a two year program that quickly prepares students for employment in a variety of professional settings. Graduates may also complete a baccalaureate degree in several related areas.

Interdisciplinary Study means to explore emerging relationships between several fields. Within one emphasis area, students seek out courses that can better prepare them for answering future questions that cannot be satisfactorily addressed using single methods or linear disciplinary approaches. By concentrating on related areas of study combined with personal interests or prior experience, each individual can realize significant overlaps of integration with new understanding.

WKU offers three Real Estate Program options to students:

These options prepare students for increasing levels of responsibility and a multitude of careers within the field of real estate.

Workforce Administration (WFA) is a professional bachelors degree program developed for Community/Technical College graduates, adult learners, and career-focused students. WFA compliments your prior coursework and prepares you for supervisory and managerial responsibilities in a variety of industries.
