Michaela Carter



Michaela Carter, a sophomore from Lexington, KY, is a second-year Spirit Master majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychological Sciences with a Pre-Medicine concentration. A student in the Mahurin Honors College, she has been recognized on the President’s List and is a recipient of the Howard K. Bailey Leadership Scholarship. Michaela is also involved in various clubs and activities on campus including WKU’s Pre-Health Professional Honors Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Intramural sports, Black Women of Western, and Project C.L.A.S.S. She has served as an H4 counselor for the Mahurin Honors College pre-college camp for incoming honors freshmen.  

Favorite Place on Campus:  The Compass Fountain adjacent to Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center and Helm Library. It’s a very tranquil place to just sit and relax. The water also gives you a refreshing breeze on your walk to class during the hotter days of the year.
