Since I was young I dreamed of having a career that dealt with criminology & psychology. Having taken the course Intro to law enforcement it provided me the opportunity to learn about various careers available in this field. Hearing from our guest speakers it has inspired me to hope to become a detective or my childhood dream of a forensic psychologist. What has been most impactful to my choosing of this path would be the matter of how crime can affect one’s mind permanently especially when exposed to it at a young age. As a result of my direct life experiences and knowledge gained with my classes here at Western I look forward to continuing on learning what causes crime and the psychological behavior behind it. During my time here at WKU I have been part of HOLAS & served as activity board member for the Campus Activities Board. Following graduation I plan on getting my master’s soon right after.
