WKU's Department of Educational Administration, Leadership, and Research will host a free informational webinar about its recently-revised principal certification program on Monday, September 30, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Central time.  Please use the following URL to access the webinar (no registration or special software is required):

https://connect.wku.edu/wkuprincipal09302013/

WKU's principal certification program is cohort based and immerses aspiring school adminstrators in rich field experiences designed to build their leadership capacity.  A Master's degree, three years of successful teaching experience, and 3.0 graduate grade-point average are required for admission.

The program is delivered in a hybrid format, with both online and face-to-face components (approximately four Saturdays per academic semester). Candidates can earn Level I (provisional) principal certification in approximately 18 months. Candidates may earn Rank I status via the program, and may also apply coursework toward the Specialist in Education Administration degree (EdS) or Doctorate in Educational Leadership (EdD).

All teachers from GRREC member districts are eligible for the Topper Educator Graduate Scholarship program, which will save WKU graduate students thousands of dollars in tuition costs over the next three years.

Please join us for the webinar to learn more, or contact Dr. Gary Houchens at gary.houchens@wku.edu for further information.
