Jonesville Memorial Scholarship

Jonesville Memorial Scholarship

SGA has recently created a new scholarship fund for African American students who are recent graduates from state schools in Bowling Green. Acknowledging the long history of discriminatory treatment of Black residents of Bowling Green, the most prominent being the demolition of the Jonesville community for university expansion, the Jonesville Memorial Scholarship was created to support African American students in their academic endeavors. This scholarship is awarded based on both merit and need. The number and value of scholarships awarded will be determined by the Student Affairs committee.
