Systems Engineering Minor

Systems engineering is an interdisciplinary field of engineering and engineering management that focuses on how to design and manage complex systems over their life cycles.

This minor has been harmonized with our domain specific Civil, Electrical and Mechanical degree programs to enhance our hands-on-project based learning in these programs, particularly through its capstone course ENGR 400 Principles of Systems Engineering.

The minor in Systems Engineering (Reference Number 476) requires 21 semester hours for CE and ME majors (EM 222 Option) and 22 semester hours for EE majors (EE 210 Option); 1/3 of hours in the minor must earned at WKU; and at least 1/2 of the hours required for the minor must be earned in courses numbered 300 and above.

Please use iCAP within TopNet to verify your remaining degree requirements for the program in your catalog year.
