Inter-professional Test Prep Class
Registration is for the 2017 Inter-Professional Test Prep Course will begin in September.
The South Central AHEC offers an Inter-Professional Test Prep course consisting of MCAT, PCAT, DAT and OAT training each year to help students prepare to take their respective tests. This class is offered in cooperation with the WKU Ogden College of Science and Engineering, pre-health professions program. Applications for this course are issued each fall with an orientation usually right after Thanksgiving. The classes begin with the spring semester and usually meet every Saturday morning from 8 am – 1 pm. Throughout the week, students are required to complete online Khan test prep material. Participants will receive books and several full length online practice tests in addition to the classroom work.
Students will be notified by Dr. Ken Crawford when the online application is open.
Who can apply:
Anyone can apply, but priority is given to WKU students. Dr. Ken Crawford will select the participants. It is recommended that students take the course the Spring Semester prior to taking the test. The application deadline is December 1, 2016.
There will be a fee for this course and the amount will depend on the amount of grant funding available. The course fee will be announced with the course application. There will be an opportunity for a partial refund following full participation in the course, meeting with Lucy Juett, and taking the designated test.
Former Rural Health Scholars, will have the entire course cost refunded.
Once accepted into the program, students may pay via check, cash, or credit card. Checks and cash may be dropped off at AHEC's office, located in room 408 of Academic Complex. Credit card payments may be made online in the link provided in the acceptance letter.

In order to qualify for a partial refund, students must make an appointment with Lucy Juett, AHEC Center Director, complete the training and take the designated test.
