Breckinridge County Future Healthcare Professionals

Apply to the Future Healthcare Professionals program with the Breckinridge County Public Library.
The Summer 2023 FHP program, a health career exploration program will take place July 25-28 and August 1-4 from 1-2:30 pm CST. The in-person program will be held at the Breckinridge County Library (308 Old Hwy 60, Hardinsburg, KY, 40143).
Students will explore different areas of the healthcare field through experimentation, hands on activities, and guest speakers.
Program Requirements

Students must commit to attending all sessions.

Students must be current high school students.

Registration is limited to 25 students.
Past Activities:
- Measure vitals -- Blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, etc.
- Learn to suture
- Explore current medical dilemmas
- Create a public health campaign
- View laparoscopic surgery
- Learn how to intubate
- Meet with health professionals
- Explore a variety of health careers and more!!
