Warren County Health Career Exploration


Do you live in Warren County? Are you interested in the health field?
Apply to the Future Healthcare Professionals program at the Warren County Public Library.


The Spring 2020 FHP program, a health career exploration program, will be held at the Warren County Main Library Mondays, February 17 - May 4 (there will be no meeting on March 30 or April 6) from 5-7pm. Throughout the program, students will explore different areas of the healthcare field through experimentation, hands on activities, and guest speakers. 

Students will also have the option to participate in a CPR certification course. The course costs $12.

The program meets at the Warren County Main Library from 5-7pm, Mondays, February 17 - May 4 (there will be no meeting on March 30 or April 6). Several field trips will be announced closer to the start of the program. Students must provide their own transportation to these locations. 


Past Activities: 

  • Measure vitals -- Blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, etc. 
  • Learn to intubate 
  • Learn to suture 
  • Explore current medical dilemmas 
  • Create a public health campaign 
  • Use laparoscopic surgery simulators
  • Meet with health professionals
  • Tour the local hospital 
  • and more!!! 


Program Requirements: 

  • Students must commit to attending all sessions. 

  • Students must provide their own transportation to and from the meetings and field trips. 

  • Registration is limited to 25 students.
