WKU Restart Plan

The WKU COVID-19 Task Force will continue to adjust strategies based on guidance from public health officials.  Please refer to wku.edu/healthyonthehill frequently for the most up-to-date information on WKU's operational norms for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Big Red Restart Plan Draft

COVID-19 changed the world. As we navigated through the spring semester at WKU, transitioning from the in-person experience to remote, one thing became clear: the WKU family yearned to be together again.

The Big Red Restart is our plan to bring us back together, safely. Until a vaccine is developed and widely distributed, we must, as a community, learn to live and operate differently during a pandemic. Our focus is on a return to an on-campus environment, but this fall semester will be different than any we’ve experienced. Our plan is nimble, flexible and responsive so that we can provide the quality educational experience our students desire and deserve while keeping all of our communities safe.
