John W. Ridley is the Managing Director/Investment Officer at Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Western Kentucky University and worked for several years as a business owner.

John believes strongly in giving back to the community and does so by serving in a number of different capacities.  He is currently a member of the WKU Board of Regents, serving as the Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee. He is also a member of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce and a Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity Alumni.

In 2012 John was appointed by Governor Steve Beshear as a member of the Board of Regents for Western Kentucky University to a six year term. John was a past member of the Bowling Green Country Club Board of Directors, a former board member of the WKU Libraries Advisory Council, and Board of Advisors for the Shaker Museum, South Union, KY. He is a certified Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church and is previous Chairman of State Street United Methodist Church Board of Trustees and former member of the United Methodist Church Conference Council of Finance and Administration and the Investment Committee of the Kentucky Council of Churches. John was also a member of the WKU Alumni Association Board of Directors from 1977-1981, was the 2001 recipient of the WKU Student Government Association “Citizen’s Award,” the 2003 recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award from the WKU President’s Circle Advisory Council, the 2012 Recipient of the Summit Award for the WKU President Board of Advisors, the 2015 College Heights Foundation Kelly Thompson, Sr. Award, and the 2016 WKU Beta Gamma Sigma Honoree. John is also a 2009 graduate of Leadership Kentucky.

John and his wife, Carolyn live in Bowling Green with their dog Derby. His term on the board ends June 2018.
