Surplus a Vehicle


Step 1: Using the Maintenance Connection’s website, the Department is to submit a Surplus Pick-Up Request, including the following information:

    • Vehicle make, model, year, and color
    • ICN
    • WKU Vehicle Number
    • VIN
    • Location of Vehicle
    • Location of Keys
    • Contact name and number

Step 2: Once the Surplus Pick-Up Request is submitted through Maintenance Connections, we will email the contact a Vehicle Surplus Form to complete.

Step 3: Please scan and email the completed Vehicle Surplus form back to Surplus, or elizabeth.gafford@wku.edu

Step 4:With this information, Surplus will have the vehicle picked up for inspection and moved to the Service & Supply Building's Parking Lot. 

Step 5:  If this vehicle can no longer be used on campus, Surplus will auction the vehicle during the next quarterly auction. Auctions are online through GovDeals.com and occur quarterly (Jan. 15th, April 15th, July 15th, Oct. 15th)
