Stella Treumann, an international affairs major from Germany, and Dr. Timothy Rich co-authored an article on Taiwanese perceptions of Syrian refugees. Miss Treumann conducted an experimental web survey of 500 randomly selected respondents. The authors conclude that apprehensions over population density and a drain on public services, rather than the religious beliefs of asylum seekers, influence support for welcoming refugees from the war-torn country.
