Biography

Dr. VanWye’s expertise includes cardiopulmonary physical therapy, clinical exercise physiology, screening for referral, and differential diagnosis. Dr. VanWye received a BS in Exercise Science from Indiana University in 2001, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Indianapolis in 2006, and a MS in Exercise Science from Indiana University in 2007. He has worked in numerous settings, most recently as the co-owner of a private physical therapy practice in Columbus, OH specializing in sports medicine, orthopaedics, and workers’ compensation. He is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy (CCS). He also holds advanced credentials as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and as a registered clinical exercise physiologist (ACSM-RCEP). His research interests include application of periodization into physical therapist practice, blood flow restriction training, and differential diagnosis. Dr. VanWye is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), as well as a member of the APTA Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Section.
