Thirteen WKU students have been honored by the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, the most in WKU’s history.
5 WKU Students Receive Boren Scholarships
All five of WKU’s applicants for David L. Boren Scholarships have received awards that will provide up to $20,000 for a year of study abroad.
WKU Student Receives Princeton in Latin America Fellowship
Emma Shoaf, a graduating senior at WKU from Lexington, has received the Princeton in Latin America (PiLA) Fellowship to work in the Dominican Republic.

Shelley Spalding, a 2015 WKU graduate and current graduate student from Lebanon, earned an honorable mention for her application for the James Madison Graduate Fellowship.
9 WKU Students to Study Abroad on Gilman Scholarships
Nine additional WKU students will study abroad this summer on Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships. Four other Hilltoppers received Gilman Scholarships for summer in an earlier application cycle.
9 WKU Students Recognized by Critical Language Program
Nine WKU students have been recognized by the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship Program.Five students will receive scholarships to study in intensive language programs abroad while four others were named alternates.
