Dr. Bruce Kessler

Dr. Bruce Kessler is a mathematics professor at Western Kentucky University, with twenty-two years experience in the classroom with students of all ages, and is Associate Dean of the WKU Ogden College of Science & Engineering.

His primary research interests are in applications of wavelet theory to signal and image processing, and he recently received a patent on an analysis algorithm he developed. Dr. Kessler has also been involved in mathematics curriculum development. He has written the trigonometry text once used by students in the Gatton Academy of Math & Science at WKU, and during the Spring 2006 semester, wrote and hosted a series of television shows "Math Matters: Why Do I Need To Know This? [BROKEN LINK]" that appeared on internal WKU cable.

As a fan of comic books as a child, the Operation Comics series has been a labor of love with the author. The series currently stands at six comics, with a seventh comic in the planning stages.
