Required Courses (24 hours)

  • LEAD 200: Introduction to Leadership Studies or LEAD 300: Leadership Theory and Application
  • LEAD 325: Leading Change (prerequisite: LEAD 200 or 300) 
  • LEAD 330: Leadership Ethics & Decision Making ((prerequisite: LEAD 200 or 300)
  • LEAD 395: Contemporary Leadership Issues ((prerequisite: LEAD 200 or 300)
  • LEAD 400: Practicum in Leadership ((prerequisite: LEAD 200 or 300)
    above course is not online, but faculty will accommodate distance students, please speak with advisor
  • LEAD 440: Leading Teams ((prerequisite: LEAD 200 or 300)

Please note the following as you plan your program of study:

Students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership may earn

  • No more than 24 semester hours from the School of Journalism and Broadcasting
  • No more than 30 hours in courses administered by the Gordon Ford College of Business
  • No more than 12 upper-level semester hours from the Gordon Ford College of Business.

Joint Undergraduate Masters Program (JUMP)

Qualified students have the opportunity to take up to 12 credits of graduate classes as an undergraduate student (at the undergraduate tuition rate)! These 12 graduate credits fulfill both undergraduate and graduate requirements. Please contact program advisor, Marie Yager at to learn more.
