YouTube Modal Snippets


The YouTube modal snippet allows you to hide a styled YouTube Embed off-screen in a minimal modal dialog window that is called by pressing an accompanying button. This modal window features no header or footer around the video, and is brought on top of the entire page and navigation with a dark background effect.

 

Snippet Options


LAUNCH-BUTTON-COLOR

Changes the color of the button that launches the modal, WKU Red button or Gray button.

  • RED
  • GRAY
  • RED-OUTLINE

 

LAUNCH-BUTTON-SIZE

Controls the size of the button that launches the modal.

  • SMALL
  • MEDIUM
  • LARGE

 

LAUNCH-BUTTON-TEXT

Changes the text of the button that launches the modal.

 Text Only, additional content will be removed.

 

YOUTUBE-ID

Your video's id, found in the url of the video - see section "Locating the YouTube Video ID" below for more information.

 YouTube Video ID Only, any other content will cause errors.

 

VIDEO-TITLE

The title of your video, used for alternate text before the video is loaded.

 Text Only, additional content will be removed.

 

CUSTOM-COVER-IMAGE

A generated cover image is brought in from YouTube, however lower definition videos may not have one. Insert a custom image to override the default YouTube cover image.

 Image Only, additional content will be removed.

 

 

Centering the Snippet

To center this snippet's content on a page right-click the table, select table properties, and change the alignment to center.
