Hosted by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars, adminsitrators and faculty interested in internationalizing their curriculum are invited to attend a webinar to learn about the Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program. Click here to register.

Fulbright Webinar: Spotlight on UK: U.S. Fulbright Scholar Opportunities

Hosted by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars, this webinar is desgined to highlight Fulbright Scholar opportunities in the United Kingdom. The webinar will include an overview on the region, showcase select awards, and answer questions from attendees. Click here to register

Dr. Phillips completed a lecturing and research Fulbright to Namibia in 2006. As a Fulbright Alumni Ambassador, she hasbeen trained by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars (the administrative body that organizes the Fulbright Scholar Program) to represent Fulbright at universities and conferences. She is currently a Professor of Computer Information Systems/Computer Science at Highline Community College in Des Moines, Washington. Fulbright Project Statement Workshop

12:00 - 1:00pm: DSU Fresh Foods Cupola Room* 
Co-hosted by the Office of International Programs and the Office of Research & Creative Activities, this workshop will feature WKU Fulbright alumni Kristin Wilson (Research Scholar, South Africa, 2016) and  Kay Gandy (Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program, South Africa 2006; Fulbright Hays Seminars Abroad Program, Senegal 2016)  and will cover topics  on how to submit a competitive Fulbright Scholar applictation. Such topics include: 

  • General do's and dont's for crafting competitive grant applications;
  • How to get started (researching awards, developing contacts);
  • Recognizing your audience (who reads Fulbright project statements?);
  • Common mistakes and integrating Fulbright elements;
  • Tackling revising
