This presentation is the second installment of the Tracing the Unexplored: Brazil's Multicultural Society series. It will deal with the contemporary relevance of the homage that Afro-Brazilian film and literature pay to Brazil's African slave hero and the most famous and largerst runaway slave community in Latin America.

Dr. Dawn Duke is a Portuguese & Spanish Professor & Chair of Africana Studies at the University of Tennessee.
