This presentation is the first installment of the Tracing the Unexplored: Brazil's Multicultural Society series. It will examine the impact that affirmative action policies have had in Brazil, a country where a majority of the population claims to have African ancestry.

Ana Cristina Conceição Santos is a researcher associated with the Nucleus of Gender and Sexuality of the State University of Bahia and the Federal University of Alagoas, Brazil.
