Dr. Jose Riverson Rios presents: Do Pictures Lie? Image Manipulation in Photojournalism and Advertisement.

It is common sense that a photograph represents the truth more than any other kind of art. However, pictures have been manipulated ever since they were first used. In this presentation, I will speak about the arbitrarity of the image focusing the discussion on its use in both journalism and advertisement.
