WKU in the News

  • Best-selling author visits WKU: When best-selling author Roxane Gay sat down to write her latest book, the last topic she wanted to confront was her own self-described “fatness” and the personal demons surrounding it.

  • WKU looks to Woods to shape offensive line: TJ Woods may not see his coaching efforts come to fruition right away. Makes him think of a nice dinner. “Sometimes with offensive linemen it takes a little bit of time and I think that that’s why it’s so rewarding, too. There’s not too many quick-fixes in offensive line play,” the new WKU assistant said. “They’re like a good steak, you gotta marinade ‘em for some time usually before. You can’t just slap ‘em on the grill. I think that’s why it’s so satisfying because it takes a lot of time for those kids to do what we ask them to do, to move their body in the ways that we’re asking them to move their body, to handle the volume of football that we give them. All of those things, I think, are pretty fulfilling when you see ‘em happen.”
