WKU Professor Receives ASME Student Advisor Award

Dr. Manohar Chidurala, Instructor II of Mechanical Engineering, has received the 2025 Outstanding Student Section Advisor award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
The award seeks to recognize the leadership and service qualities of a student advisor.
“This national recognition reflects positively on Western Kentucky University,” Dr. Chidurala said. “I believe it highlights our ongoing commitment to excellence in engineering and student mentorship.”
Dr. Chidurala’s efforts have fostered an inclusive, empowering environment and expanded opportunities for professional development and community engagement. His inspiring service continues to have an impact on the lives of our engineering students.
