New Scholars Program

The WKU New Scholars Program is a transition program for incoming freshman. This online program will prepare you for success as you begin your new academic journey at WKU. There is no cost for the program or its services.

Program Highlights:

• Students selected for the WKU New Scholars Program will be registered into the Blackboard course
• The course is not-for-credit nor graded
• You will engage with your academic success coach in one, self-paced learning module each week
• Learning modules are designed to equip you with skills and resources you can use to achieve your goals and maximize your academic performance.
• Most new scholars are excited but also somewhat apprehensive; the New Scholars Program will boost your confidence as you learn strategies of successful students and how to access an array of WKU support services when needed
