SC AHEC and Warren County Public Library have created a new summer reading program.
Bowling Green, KY – May 28, 2015 – This summer, middle school and high school students have the opportunity to participate in the Warren County Public Library’s Everyday Heroes in the Health Field summer reading program. The program, which will run from June 4- July 24, will explore careers in the health field, and is an extension of the library’s main summer reading program, Every Hero Has a Story. The program was created through a partnership between the South Central Area Health Education Center (SC AHEC) at WKU and the Warren County Public Library.
Participants will read books from a designated list. The books cover a variety of topics, but are all related to the health field. After completing a book, students will be entered to win an Amazon Kindle. The more books a student reads, the more chances to win! The program is a great way for students to continue reading over the summer, while exploring the health field.
The SC AHEC is dedicated to promoting health careers to students of all ages. They are actively looking for schools or organizations to partner with for the 2015-2016 academic year. If your organization would like to partner with SC AHEC, please contact Catherine Malin.
