As early childhood education programs are planning to reopen in the coronavirus pandemic, the need for strategic planning and training is crucial. Training and Technical Assistance Services at WKU (T/TAS) announces our experienced and knowledgeable Head Start/Early Head Start specialists are ready to assist in all pre-service training sessions to be conducted via virtual platforms.
“Program leaders should be meeting now to plan their roadmap to reopening,” says T/TAS Executive Director J. Christopher Watkins. Questions that need to be addressed may include: How many children can our facility accommodate based on CDC, state, and local health department guidelines? What types and quantities of personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies need to be in stock before we reopen? How will safety and good health practices affect ERSEA? What policies and procedures are in place regarding wearing facemasks? Watkins says these are just a few of many issues facing Directors, Board and Policy Council members, ERSEA Managers, and Health Managers as early learning centers plan to welcome back children and families.
“Our training specialists are ready to offer strategic guidance and innovative ideas to develop solutions customized for your childcare program.” ~ J. Christopher Watkins, T/TAS Executive Director
