CSD Junior Awarded Two Scholarships from Gender and Women’s Studies

Bowling Green, KY – Communication Sciences and Disorders Junior, Jordan Frodge, has been awarded the Catherine C. Ward Undergraduate Scholarship and the Valere Scott Undergraduate Scholarship from Western Kentucky University’s Department of Gender and Women’s Studies (GWS).
The Catherine C. Ward Undergraduate Scholarship pays tribute to Professor Catherine Ward, a former English professor at WKU, and her contribution to the GWS program. The award recognizes scholarly excellence and academic interest in GWS. The Valere Scott Undergraduate Scholarship pays tribute to Valere Scott, a major supporter of the GWS Department. It recognizes advocacy and community service for women’s issues.
Frodge is originally from Maysville, KY. She is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with minors in American Sign Language and Gender and Women’s Studies.
