Upcoming Residence Hall Changes

Effective Fall 2013, Pearce Ford Tower will be converted from co-ed to an all-female residence hall and Hugh Poland Hall will be converted to an all-male residence hall. These changes are an effort to improve the quality of residential life on campus. Additional information will be available before students renew their housing for the Fall 2013 semester.

The College Heights Herald was awarded the 2026 Online Pacemaker and Student Publications Advertising and Cherry Creative combined to win the Student Media Business Pacemaker, bringing overall total to 53.

Ten Gatton Academy students taking Russian courses at WKU will represent the university and the Potter College of Arts & Letters at the American Council of Teachers of Russian’s Olympiada of Spoken Russian at Ohio State University on Saturday, March 7.

The Goldenrod Poetry Festival is an annual Spring event held by the WKU English Department to highlight student work and connect with other writers. The festival will be held Monday, April 1st, and submissions are due Tuesday, March 10.

The Kentucky Museum at Western Kentucky University has received a $246,233 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Museums for America program, to support inventorying and cataloging the Museum’s collection.
