WKU Advanced Materials Institute Partners on Rare Earth Elements Effort

The Advanced Materials Institute is shifting the future for WKU and the Bowling Green community with its groundbreaking research on rare earth materials and the impact of coal combustion on wastewater and residual waste. In collaboration with Lehigh University, the AMI strives to make coal combustion more sustainable while also searching for ways to extract rare earth materials from combustion byproducts. Making fossil fuels more sustainable, right here at WKU! The WKU Advanced Materials Institute is housed at the WKU Innovation Campus.
