WKU HONORS BAND CLINIC AUDITIONS FOR BAND & CHAIR PLACEMENT Students will audition for band and chair placement upon arrival at WKU on Thursday, January 26th from 3:30-6:30pm. Auditions will take place in the Fine Arts Center (FAC) on the 3rd floor and in the new Music Rehearsal Annex (adjacent to the Fine Arts Center on the South). Signs will be posted throughout the building with locations for each instrument. Auditions will consist of:
• a Chromatic Scale (two octaves up and down)
• the prepared excerpt (posted on the WKU Music Department website)
• a brief sight reading etude.
Results will be posted at 6:45 pm and rehearsals begin at 7:30 pm.
